Located an hour and a half north of the city of Toulouse, Lectoure is a small yet vibrant community with a fascinating 2,000-year history. 

While an abundance of festivals enliven the seasons, you will have the impression of having discovered a secret known only to a few.  Nature lovers will enjoy the walking paths that meander down the sloping hills of town and into the countryside. Writers and artists will appreciate the preternatural calm and the inspiring landscape.

This is a place of soulful purpose.  Lectoure is one of the stops located along the medieval St. James's Way pilgrimage route which begins in various points in western France and ends at San Juan de Campostela, Spain.
